Panda sanctuary Cheng Du

      We spent a whole day doing volunteer work at a panda sanctuary outside of Cheng Du. As a volunteer we got to clean out the panda habitat and cages. We also got to feed the pandas bamboo and bamboo-soybean pancakes. We had to rake up all the leafs and poop that were in the habitat. We also had to smash rods of bamboo on the ground to break it up for the pandas to eat. When we were not working we were able to walk around the sanctuary and take pictures of pandas. Later on in the day we were given bamboo and various

other snacks and were able to feed the pandas through their cages.
