1st Day in Shanghai

Today was our first day in Shanghai, we spent most of it walking around the city and eating food. In the morning we walked along the Bund and looked for breakfast , we ended up stopping in a Costa coffee because it was cold outside. We then went to the metro station and got metro cards, we took the subway down to Peoples Square for lunch. After lunch we walked through a park, all along the sidewalks on the park umbrellas were lined up with a single person sitting behind each one. On the umbrellas were pieces of paper describing a person ( their age, height , gender...), often the child of the person sitting behind the umbrella.  basically people read the umbrellas to find a potential boyfriend/girlfriend. That is what happens when you ban Tinder in China. We also found an amusement park within the park. We tried to go to the Shanghai history museum but the line wrapped around the building and we didn't want to wait in it. So instead we walked down to the French Quarter and wandered around. At one point we got lost in these really crowded tight alleyways and couldn't find a way out. But we found a way and took the subway back to the hotel before going out for dinner.
